Perfect health
There was a time before the paleolithic era when consumable energy was in much abundance, and life did not have to travel very far to gather what it needed to survive.
But as time went on it was necessary for mankind to travel far distances and aquire new high energy sources such as meat, root vegatables & other things that do not Benefit all life as a whole, but merely a single species.
further on into the neolithic period you find things even worse things entering the diet such as grains, beans, potatoes & the rest of foods that must be processed in order to be made edible.
Even cooking such things do not get rid of all the lectins, which cause cells to divide & mutate when they are not supposed to.
I think that one will find that the causes of most diseases & disorders can be attributed to one's diet.
A vegetarian is not much better off than a carnavoir or a fruitarian.
One can only hope for a lesser of two evils in this day in age.
The foods that are the foundation of the societies around the world, are based on such energy sources that were meant for travel. and more so not to be consumed in the first place.
The fruit tree's of an age long ago that once contained all the essential vitamins, nutrients, and amino acids, have not been proliferated & now it is impossible for one to have a completely perfect diet.
I would make a suggestion towards a combination of root vegatbles, fruits & fish.

I've recently been trying to find a suitable diet as I simply no longer have a desire to eat unhealthy foods.

Try a search on google for the "Paleolithic Diet"
It is sometimes called the caveman diet.
It consists of things such as Fruit, Fish & edible raw vegatables eg. carrots, rutabagas, parsnips etc...
I have found that these foods are the safest to eat.

I would also recommend that at the very least,
One should stay away from processed sugar, caffeine & sodium.
Sugar causes excess uric acid, which can lead to Gout.
Sodium causes more fluid to be retained, And can lead to high blood pressure.
Caffeine is probably the worst, because it increases neuron activity,
And overtime can cause an allergic reaction, even in diminutive amounts.
As an example:
Not too long ago I fasted for 14 days, And afterwards I found that
Too much sodium would cause my ears to ring,
Any caffeine would cause skin blemishes,
And processed sugar would cause pain in my joints.
After I took those 3 things out of my diet.
I am more healthy now, then ever before.

I agree Daisy. Everything in balance, eat what you feel like when you feel like it, use your intuition aka "commone sense" and then you'll not eat in fear of what is/isn't wrong/best for you, but just go with the flow. Afterall the mind decides how we are going to feel when we eat something, so if for example you believe coffee is good, then it is, if you don't then it isn't.
Don't beat yourselves up about what you eat people. I meet so many people, women in particular who have to justify why they are eating a piece of chocolate cake to themselves and everyone around them. The more of us that don't preach what to eat/not to eat the easier and freeer it makes us all in our food choices and the way we live our physical lives.

Constant margarine fixation
I agree with all of your statements, but I also think that it *is* important to realise what you are putting into your body. Even though your thoughts control your reality and you can be a perfectly healthy person by controlling your thoughts, IMO it is also important to understand the kind of things we are eating in this day and age.
In the end, it is all about who you choose to be, for that is the only question the universe asks of you.

true ....i believe we are what we eat...our inner shows our outer....i find for myself, the less i eat, regardless what it is..i have more clarity... i just listen to myself,my body and go with what my body needs...soul,mind,body...i have found for myself though, its really important to switch your food...you know the basics...to much of one thing can't possibly help, moderation....for sure..it is crazy to , cause we really don't know what were eating...like you said :enlightner: i would love to grow my own food....
