Always Beginining

I just moved out from college and I am done my 3 years of fire fighting school there. It's an ending and a new beginning.

The way I know it in my heart, our essence and original body is spiritual that has never had a beginning and will never have an ending, yet we will forever always be ending and beginning, always learning and growing in love and wisdom. (and lots of more good stuff :))

I just wanted to write that out because I feel so good knowing that I have been beginning and growing always and forever will be.

I'm at ease.

At least when I am not in a daze amazed by the worlds displays.

Yes... always evolving... endings and beginnings.

This is what Zen Buddhism calls 'beginner's mind'... open to the new.

I agree. Spiritual growth incarnated, in spirit form, and reincarnation only goes upward. The end of physical death is just a beginning. Well said thread.

This quote from a Zen Buddhist nun-teacher says it well:

Beginner's mind is Zen practice in action. It is the mind that is innocent of preconceptions and expectations, judgements and prejudices. Beginner's mind is just present to explore and observe and see "things as-it-is."

I think of beginner's mind as the mind that faces life like a small child, full of curiosity and wonder and amazement. "I wonder what this is? I wonder what that is? I wonder what this means?" Without approaching things with a fixed point of view or a prior judgement, just asking "what is it?"

In Mark 10: 14-15, Jesus says, "Suffer the little children to come unto me,and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein." Beginner's Mind.
