Blue Crush (2002)
One of my favorite movies is Blue Crush, staring Kate Bosworth, Michelle Rodriguez, Sanoe Lake, and Mika Boorem. This movie is a peek into the lives of four beautiful young women that live together on the north shore of Oahu and go surfing every day. Kate Bosworth plays the main character who must face her fears about surfing in dangerous waters. It's a movie about Hawaii and about surfing and about being a woman in a man's world. Rated PG-13 for teen partying, language and a fight.
The movie was such a hit they even made a sequel, Blue Crush 2, that unfortunately wasn't nearly as good as the first.
