consecrating tools
Hi everyone.
I have some tools that I've cleansed and charged. Now I want to consecrate them. I've read to smudge them with incense or sage which I can't do due to illness. I'm wondering if there's a smokeless and non-aromatic method which can be used instead. Do you have any idea(s) what would be just as effective?
Thank you for your insight.

Hi.
I have used energy for consecration- to set intent. By visualizing method.
Now I was too going to suggest consecrating oils, but you stated non aromatic.
Instead you could also use a blessing or Holy water to consecrate. Normally I use a combination of incense and blessing water, but in your case, could use the water with no need of the smoke. Unlike an oil, blessing water you prepare yourself- you prepare, and have ingredient control. Also, water is relatively scentless or pretty close.
Perhaps could also try to consecrate- with your intent, using sigil. If that is something you'd consider.
There are multitudes of options other than smoke. Do not be afraid also to perhaps come up with some of your own methods, and personalize and create your work- Ritual.
Hope that helped.
Blessings.

Hello
You can consecrate your tools using the four elements by facing each direction of the cardinal points. Here's more information on this: Consecrate Your Magical Tools. You can substitute incense to a feather. I read somewhere that one can simply consecrate just the athame using the four elements and have the consecrated athame bless the other tools without having to go through the whole procedure for each tool.

Thanks Lepus, that idea opens up another possibility.
