These words from the Book of Deuteronomy (
Sefer Devarim) pretty much sum up the scope of Judaism – and are familiar to many who participated in civil rights issues over the generations.
I'm currently reading
Justice for All: How the Jewish Bible Revolutionized Ethics, by Jeremiah Unterman, and it's giving me a new and greater appreciation of these sacred scriptures.
