Kitchen Island Purple Quartz
To craft an island with a solid countertop from genuine amethyst, one might have to resort to using faux amethyst or combining numerous smaller pieces. While I'm not an expert in gemstones or construction, a quick Google search suggests that the average price for 1 carat of amethyst ranges between $20-50 USD. Given that 1 carat is approximately 5.5mm in diameter for a square cut, an island of standard dimensions—about 1m x 2m and 1m in height—would cost an estimated $12.7 million, assuming a median price of $35 USD per carat. This calculation is a rough estimate, based on cursory research and assumptions. The actual cost could be higher, especially when factoring in the logistics of transportation and precise shaping of the stone.

The price you mentioned for amethyst is the gem quality, or at least I gather as much, as amethyst isn't all that expensive. Of course price can vary greatly depending on quality and also certain types of amethyst that are more expensive than others.
