In Hinduism there exist a philosophy called Advaita.
The goal of this philosophy is to merge with the Universe, being everything, complete dissolvement of the ego.
Maybe this Advaita-theory can help you with your quest.
Further I believe connecting with Mother Nature is an essential part of "becoming one with everything". But there is more about universal merging.
