Which components of buddhism does this story use?

Applying contemplation, what does this story do for you?

A happy homeless man sat alone on the steps of a library.
Readying himself to be moved along. he put on his old shoes and
stuck his bag over his back.

The librarian came out to him and asked him to leave. She was friendly,
but her colleague wasn't. That hero type of person who does very well
in life despite being an intolerable twit. He decided to add insult, by
calling out "beat it, loser!"

The homeless man turned around, his greying thick brows matching perfectly
his greying thick beard beneath a wide brimmed hat.

"I've won my losses, I succeeded at my failures, I went up the down ladder, climbed to the top of the center of the universe."
he said.

The foolish hero stood slightly stunned for a moment, and before the words could enter his brain - his entire ego simply reflected them and killed any
chance of some form of reflection.

The woman was thrown into reflection however, she immediately thought
"that's illogical."...

Well, at least it was something I guess.
