Moldavite?

Moldavite has been catching my eye for quite a while now and I think I am ready to get my first piece...
Has anyone on here had experience with moldavite?
Are there any possible restrictions for who can get it(I mean as in is it possible not to be ready for it, as I've heard it's a really powerful crystal...)?

I am a firm believer that a huge percentage of what authors, websites, etc. claim crystals, gemstones, and tektites do is just a marketing scheme meant to sell stuff. I'm not saying that they don't do anything or have no metaphysical properties, what I am saying is that I don't believe they have general and common metaphysical properties and characteristics. I believe that what they do for each individual is going to vary vastly and so it's impossible for one person, an author, or anyone/anything else to tell you what Moldavite is going to do for you personally. The only way to know for sure is for you to work with it yourself with a blank slate and open mind. Otherwise you will only see and believe you experience what you have read about Moldavite, when in reality you probably would experience something very personal and different if you didn't allow the trendy rumors to cloud your mind. Moldavite might be powerful for some and not for others. The only way you'll ever know if you're "ready" for Moldavite is if you work with it yourself, no one is going to be capable of telling you anything other than their opinion and personal experiences which honestly means nothing in regards to your experience since you will be the one working with the Moldavite, they will not be working with it for you.

Goga there are TONS of posts about moldavite on here. I think you should have done a search dear, but it's okay I did one and pulled up some threads for you

Astral E what you say in this top link paints a different picture than what you just said and you seemed pretty confident in your opinion that moldavite/crystals do in fact have specific attributes in general

After working with crystals for an extended period of time I have discovered that a lot of what is claimed about them especially from sources like Heaven & Earth is merely marketing schemes used to sell product and is rarely if ever factual. Perhaps it is factual for a hungry money grubber like Robert Simmons but I am sure he would say anything to make some abundant and cheap variation of Quartz seem like the next best stone to hit the market, of course only after he's trademarked and given it a highly inflated name and "use". The only common property that I have ever stated Moldavite has with most people is that it brings things blocking our spiritual evolution to the surface. I have stated it's other apparent metaphysical properties in the past but never claimed that everyone would experience them. The only common factor I have found that most people do experience with Moldavite is that it brings to the surface issues that are blocking and/or impeding their spiritual growth. I do still believe that Moldavite does that better than any other stone but for me to now sit here and say it's going to definitely do that for someone else would be narrow-minded. We all react differently to the elemental and chemical composition of stones no different than how we all react differently to medications. One medication might save a person's life and make their mental illness manageable, while that same medication for another person might send them into a psychotic episode and make them commit horrible unthinkable acts. Any honest psychiatrist will tell you it's always touch and go when attempting to treat patients with psychiatric medications and since I have come to the opinion and belief that it is the chemical and elemental composition of stones that give or do not give them certain metaphysical properties and characteristics I am inclined to believe exactly the same. Therefore I have completely stopped telling people that this is the apparent and/or claimed metaphysical properties of stones because by doing so you are limiting them to experience only what they believe is possible and closing their mind off from anything else outside the spectrum of what some greedy "New Age" dealer claims. Spiritual work including crystals and gemstones is a process and an evolution for everyone and opinions, perspectives, and views are constantly shifting, that is the paradigm. And so instead of subjecting others to only a shifting personal opinion, perspective, or view I now try and steer them into the direction of self-discovery so that they can find their own truths including what a stone does for them out for themselves instead of following the same trails that others have already blazed and proclaimed to be the one and only truth.

I got a piece of it just the other day, and I wear it. when I first put it on I got a tingling sensation in leg around where I have pulled a muscle instant pain release I did manifest a date too. wanted to go out for the weekend. and next thing you know, a old boy friend called me up, and want to know if I wanted to go to Hematite Lake, perfect day! found some coral fossil. I am still waiting for the big one to manifest. In my research I did read that there is a lot of fake ones sold online (China) so make sure you are getting it from a reliable source. and then there are some source that claim: Theirs is the only ones that works, I did put much merit in that ether. I like what Bashra has to say about Crystals:they are triggers, in other words: what ever you can do with crystal, you can do with out. it has more to do with you intent. so in all depends what you program them to do! and if you believe they can, they can. Don't get me wrong, I love crystals, and they do raise my vibration, but its like, one of those chicken and egg stories... Im not sure if it the vibration of the crystal or the vibration that its beauty make me feel. Same difference tho. Crystal Blessings

I bought moldavite from three places and they were worthless. Threw them in the trash.

What do you mean by worthless? If you buy Moldavite from a good source even if the stone doesn't do anything metaphysically for you it is still worth money. You could still re-sell it for what you paid for it easily or you could hold onto it and it will likely increase in value depending on a few factors regarding the actual piece of Moldavite. When buying Moldavite it's all about the source as you can easily overpay for low-grade shards of Moldavite that are practically worthless, or you can buy a nice high-grade piece that is an investment stone and will only increase in value. Honestly most of my Moldavite I bought as an investment and to collect and not actually for metaphysical purposes.
