How do people get insight from reading palms?

So palmistry is one of those areas of spirituality that I've always seen as hokum. But I'm looking at going to a psychic who seems legit but she mainly does her work through reading palms. So how does one gain insight through palms? Because to me the lines on your palm are to do with genetics and have got nothing to do with the future?

I have has palm read. it has corresponded with my life. And some things I haven't seen yet.
I wouldn't base too much on it take it with a grain of salt. Meaning dont spend too much on it.

Some people use something like the palm, tarot cards, and other things like that as just a way to get the intuitive juices flowing. So for example they may receive answers in other ways through vision or clairaudience while giving a palm reading. Not everyone does it that way. Some people rely solely on the literal meaning of the cards or the lines of the hand.

I read palms, they are your blueprint and also your path.. I have been accurate in 95% of my readings.. you also connect with the reader too and intuitively read them..

I only read people when I feel they need it.. often there are things I will not reveal that maybe in the past and painful but will hint at them with a timeline.

There is no point in going for a reading if you are not open and don't believe..

While I can't speak specifically to palm reading it's likely it's like other tools for accessing information from higher realms and connecting Higher Selves together for the transference of information into the 3D realm. The tool, in this case the palm, is a focal point which indicates certain things almost as a reference point on a map, the important information comes through Higher Selves tho, as any line, card, rune or tea leaf can have multiple meanings. It's the Higher Selves and the ability to hear them for the Practitioner that brings what's relevant forward and translates it into English.

Oh right, oh I see... But I've noticed that alot rely on the physical shape of the lines.
