Recognising it's just a film is enough for me. A frame-rate going through a projector or TV. Developing a critical attitude toward film undid this illusory magic. Criticise the edits, cuts, the quality of the soundtrack, the acting....

Hmm, wellll, yes and no.

Watching a scary movie wont in itself attract any unpleasant spirits, but filling yourself with negative energy will attract any negative entities that happen to be close by in terms of the astral/spirit realm.

I think I had one for months. I was ill with one ailment after another, even to the point of actually nearly dying one time, yet the doctors struggled to find anything wrong (they found the odd mild infection here and there, but nothing that would make me quite so poorly). I decided to go on one of my meditations, which are very visual in nature, to see what I could learn. As I entered the visionary state, the light was unusually gloomy, and there laid on the bed next to me, half overlapping with my location, was a large blob of poor illness manifested as a sort of hazy sick person, drawing energy directly from me.

So I now make a determined effort to be positive all the time, I mentally confronted the spirit and made it clear I'm not going to let it have any more of my energy, and touch wood, so far so good.

Yesterday, i watched one. Don't ask me why but i did. It was "the conjuring". Base on a true story. I think i spent half of the movie hiding behind my blanket.

And for sure, when i went to bed, i was feeling so bad. My chest was tight and i was not feeling good. I know it can't happened but i was worried that by watching that movie, i was inviting evil spirit into my house.

It was so scary! To make it worse, they were showing the real people pictures at the end.

Am i the only sissy in the forum? my husband laughs at me everytime!

Same as you! I don't watch them anymore cause of the negative energy I'm left with and not to mention that I'm a scary cat so I be on my tippy toes for the rest of the night of any noise I hear in the house. Last movie I saw was Paranormal and I did not like it one bit! Count me in I'm another sissy!
