The sun and heat isn't actually that terrible, though it's far nicer at night; it's sort of pleasantly languid and woozy. (There are few things better than laying on damp earth at night, with the deafening insect-choir and all! Catnip oil makes an excellent natural mosquito repellent, too.)

Nah, once the temps dip below 40 F i'd rather be indoors. I don't know why, i just really love the heat. I love summer nights as well. Especially while i'm running, as you can feel that cool breeze as you run.

I spend quite a lot of time surrounded by technology and such, and sometimes I really feel the need to get outside and into nature, it's so nice to get away from all the noise and distraction and just bask in stillness (particularly at twilight, there's always something magical in the air at that time of day

Oh yes, its quite rejuvenating too. I live in a large city so every once in a while i like to take a trip somewhere a bit more secluded and just enjoy nature and solitude. One of my favorite memories is in Gulf Coast Florida. Where i would arrive at the beach 30 mins before the sun sets and just watch the sky change colors until it gets dark. Then once it gets dark i would go back to my rental place (which is right on the beach), sit on the balcony and watch the moon rise. Hearing the sounds of the rainforest at night is also very relaxing.

Eesh, I don't do heatwaves though, I don't tan so much as I sizzle

I merely burn! Curse my deathly-pale skin (which then has the audacity to freckle across my nose!)
Oh, yes, twilight is by far the most magical hour of the day, even in the droll suburbs; riding a bike with headphones ( playing something like this) during that hour is so lovely and serene.
