And therein lies the problem. Truth is unique to us all. No universal truth exists outside people other than the ecology itself as part of the cosmos overall - and it's beyond human scope to perceive the meaning. Unconditional love? Yes it can exist but it's rare. Some conditions are usually hidden underneath it. A blanket "unconditional love for all" is only viable if everyone around you reciprocates - or you run the risk of being drained. If people presume on you, use you etc., then as strong as you might be it'll wear you down in the end. Benevolence, kindness, politeness are too often treated as signs of weakness these days. Plus there are too many criminals around ready to take advantage of the weak. (for example, you see reports everyday about romance scams and people losing huge amounts of money.)

So as an ideal it's fine; worth keeping among one's higher principles, while realising in practice it isn't attainable in the mundane world. I agree with others here: the difference between good and evil is a matter of viewpoint.
