Reading through I see reference to Finnegans Wake. I still dip into this book, and it remains the best book that I have never read (in full)
It really is alive. A few pages each day can brighten the mood. Today I saw reference to zen as being a tradition outside of scripture.....
For that (the rapt one warns) is what papyr is meed of, made of, hides and hints and misses in prints.
Whether or not James Joyce had any such thought in mind I have no idea, and anyway Dogen (13th century zen master) never even agreed with that "tradition outside of scripture" business. Something to do with it being a dualist understanding.
