There's a few responses I can think
Crystal harness energy and frequencies.
Or can be a focus point of energy thus reflecting ones conscious

This is a fact that even science doesn't deny (may not talk about it though)
Just about every electronic equipment including wind up watches. Has a form of crystal in it.
Kinda contradictory of science attempt to discredit Spirituality. While at the same time use's concepts or things within Spirituality in the name of science or technology.
