Gem Elixirs

It all started when Nat looked at some polished tumble-stones, she could see unusual energetic things about them – some had spirals of various coloured energy extending from them, others had striating channels, others again seemed to have no more than a 'fuzzy cloud'. Stranger still were those stones that had an energy channel at one end and nothing happening elsewhere but – if these were turned, the channel would dissipate and vanish and then reappear again from a new area – but pointing in the same original direction, just like a compass. None of these things seemed to make any sense and it was this confusion that intrigued Nat to go deeper into the mystery.
The fact that many polished stones had such varied forms of energy expression was further compounded when the natural, unpolished versions were examined next to them. Frequently, the natural stones would exhibit significantly more energy than their polished counterparts. Agate and Angelite when polished were seemingly depleted and yet Amber and Lapis Lazuli had no discernible change at all. Throughout the sixty stones Nat examined, she found wide variations in energy expression but on the whole, it seemed that many crystals and minerals would have less energy after being polished, so she looked into at this situation. She drew diagrams of what she saw with each stone and gradually created a large collection of pictures and drawings.
She realized there were two types of energy channels present with all minerals that connected 'the outside world' with them. The first were ‘entrance channels’ that allowed surrounding subtle energies into the mineral and then it would 'do something' with these before emitting them outside again through 'exit channels'. It seemed that the polishing process had a detrimental effect to some minerals and this was because either the ‘entrance’ or the ‘exit’ channels were partly or wholly damaged.
Life on our planet Earth is not restricted just to our material world; there are as much, if not more varied forms of life on the subtle levels as upon this physical dimension. We can acknowledge life in our Human, Animal and Vegetable Kingdoms, but what of Minerals; are they really 'alive'? There are some schools of thought that suggest minerals are very much alive, but that we may be generally unequipped or insufficiently developed to appreciate this. The only route that made any sense to Nat with what she was observing was that minerals are indeed alive; but not in any physical sense that man can ordinarily perceive. Each and every stone, crystal or rock, has a 'spark of life' or 'Monad' within it. However let's evaluate that statement, these 'Monads' are primaeval and extremely primitive, they certainly cannot possess any form of intelligence. They only appear to perform minimal action; to connect with, slightly change and then emit different forms of surrounding subtle energies of the local environment and that is all. Where a large mineral body is broken up into smaller pieces, instantly, new ‘Mineral Monads’ will take up residence in each of the pieces.
The whole Mineral Kingdom is alive in a constant progression of evolution, it can be understood to have seven ‘evolutionary groups’ of mineral energy types, separated only by what they 'do' to other local types of energy. There are 'Attractors', 'Balancers', 'Breakers', 'Reflectors', 'Capacitors', Transformers' and 'Energizers'. Each group of minerals have Monads that act in a certain way upon surrounding, subtle energies and with every minuscule 'change' they make to these, so the Monads very, very, very slowly evolve.
The reason why some crystals and stones have ‘energetic damage’ or seemingly no damage after polishing treatment is relative to which evolutionary group they belong to. Agate and Angelite, mentioned earlier do seem to have permanently damaged exit channels after being polished and both of them belong to the first group of Attractors. Amber and Lapis Lazuli on the other hand, seem to either have no damage at all or else they recover very rapidly and both are members of the highest group; the Energizers. As a general rule, the higher the group the stone belongs to, the less effect polishing seems to have on it.

A curious subject that we explored was that of the Gem Elixirs. The practice of placing crystals in water for a while and then drinking the water has been around for a very long time. The theory behind it is that the crystals will ‘charge’ the water with their energy. We carried out some simple experiments. We took a piece of Rose Quartz and a placed it in a glass of water and Nat observed what would happen. Nothing occurred for about twenty seconds and then there seemed to be a ‘mini energy explosion’ in the water. The pink Rose Quartz energy suddenly grew three times its normal size! Nat became fascinated with this phenomenon and we tried it with various stones, all with the same result. We left the Rose Quartz in the glass of water for 24 hours and then removed it, the water did indeed carry a pink ‘charge’ of the mineral’s energy; but it remained for only 36 hours and then it began to dissipate and eventually vanished altogether. This experiment led to others and more details were recorded and conclusions obtained. It is a fact that an elixir (made by adding a stone to water for a length of time and then removing it) cannot hold the charge of a mineral energy forever – it will only last so long.
We then tried the same experiment with earth. We filled a pot with soil and put a quartz crystal deep into it. The same energetic effect happened. We then looked at the T-light candleholders made from minerals such as Rose Quartz and Amethyst, when the candle was lit inside them the same energetic effect would happen. We could see a pattern developing here with the four elements but we couldn’t figure out why the crystals in ‘Air’ had ‘less energy’ that with Water, Earth and Fire. Then we tried moving air; the esoteric quality of Air is movement and moving air acted in the same way; if you blow on a crystal it will briefly create more mineral energy. We used a small battery operated fan!
With these experiments, we realized that there was definitely a link between how much energy comes from a crystal and the four elements and it took some time to solve the mystery of what was happening.
Nat had been looking at the subtle anatomy inside minerals for a long time and she had drawn images of all the different energetic structures they possessed. One of these was a strange looking three-dimensional ‘propeller’ shape with four ‘petals’. Each petal was for each of the four elements, Air, Water, Fire and Earth – the basic building blocks of energetic life. By putting the mineral inside the medium of one the four elements; we were saturating the mineral with that energy type and the ‘Monad’ had then no choice to increase the absorption of the other three elements to maintain harmony and balanced equilibrium. That was why there would be a sudden increase of mineral energy much greater than before. The conclusion we reached about Gem Elixirs is that they are a valid method of using crystal energies for healing but one should be certain the minerals used are non-toxic.
We had felt that we wanted to start a family for a few months and although we were ‘trying hard’, nothing seemed to be happening. So one day we decided to put some of our own research to the test. We knew that the mineral Rhodocrosite had a direct association to conception and can be used to treat infertility and impotence so decided to give it a go. So I cleaned and scrubbed a kg of the natural, rough mineral. We then weighed it out to three equal quantities of around 330g or so. We then cut the tops off three ‘2 litre’ plastic bottles and put them on the kitchen counter in a row. We poured in one litre of water (we actually used mineral water because it tasted better than the tap water) into each bottle and added the measured quantity of the Rhodocrosite mineral to each bottle.
The next day, Nat decanted and drank the water from one of the bottles, through the day. When the bottle was empty, she refilled it with a litre of more water and the bottle was placed at the ‘back of the queue’. She continued to drink the Rhodocrosite elixir every day.
After 3 weeks she was pregnant we were delighted. Some nine months later, a beautiful Soul returned to this world.
It is also an interesting fact that all tumble-stones can be used to make elixirs – even those that have had their expression damaged through the polishing process. Polished Amethyst has only around 20% of its mineral energy expression when compared to its unpolished condition but you can place polished Amethyst into a glass of water for example and it will after a short time generate an energy field three times larger than it has when dry. Remove the stone from the water and its expression shrinks back down to the 20% it had before.
This ‘triple effect’ has its uses. T-light candleholders made from minerals, therefore can be considered as the crystal healers tools; light the candle and you have three times more mineral energy to work with! It is especially useful for working with those crystals that are by their nature, small – such as Topaz and Watermelon Tourmaline – to get more energy to work with – put the crystal into a small cup, or even a small polythene bag and add water… You can then place the cup or bag appropriately and do your work.

I will soon post an article about the specific use of thoughtforms with such minerals and explain that the mineral does not have to be in contact with either the healer or the patient; it can be placed on a table nearby & work can be done just as perfectly.

The moral of the story – don’t buy gem elixirs 'off the shelf' in a shop – they will likely be of little use at all.
