Atomism says that a light bulb shoot's light/photons out like a gun shooting billions of bullets constantly.

And a wave is an action not a thing kinda like you make waves in the pool with your arms and so if these photons that were being shot out of the light bulb were waving through something what is this thing that they're waving in what is that substance?
and this is where we get the "ether"
the light bulb is agitating a median of some form I.e the ether and by agitating it it creates waves much like arms waving in a pool creates waves in the water
it's more of an induction instead of an emission
