At 56 min in or so, we hear of 2 young guys climbing an ice packed cliff/mountain in Canada - with frozen hands, etc...
eventually having severe signs of hypothermia/ frostbite
setting in as they are on ropes still!

Wait...it develops into something wonderfully descriptive.
As most of these phenomenal experiences do - he becomes a poet, imo.
