You can actually project into the past in order to understand where a fear comes from, but it's going to be like a representatation with bots (non conscious characters) similar like a videogame.
It won't affect what you did, because time travel is just a "single player" reality representation that god will give you.
All you can do right now is to learn the lesson to never repeat it again, teach other's the lesson learned, ask god's infinite love to forgive you for your sin to make peace, and finally try to ask for forgiviness to the other individual if you can in order to make peace again.
