In the magical world that is actually called the Dark Moon and the energies of the dark moon are beneficial for hexing/cursing and going inwards. Then the next night, when you can see the tiniest sliver of a crescent moon in the sky - then you can start doing working/spells for bringing those things to you that you desire. And the waxing phase of the moon, as it grows larger each night you can keep working those spells and on up to the full moon. Then after the full moon, the moon will begin to wane and as it becomes smaller you can work spells to cleanse things and banish negative energies and release and banish those things (and people, if you so desire) you no longer want/need in your life, right on up to the dark moon. And so the cycles continue. Unfortunately, people see memes all over the place to set intentions on the new moon and don't realize they're actually working on a dark m oon, consequently working against the moon's energies.
So when is the best time to set new intentions? Doesn't the new moon signify new beginnings?

Interested here to learn more about the lunar cycles and how to work with it. :)
