I don't really have time to read long posts and even try to make my answers as short as possible and still retain enough info for someone else to understand. To answer the question, I think some Alien societies are more advanced in their "technologies", but still have most or all of the same social problems found here on Earth, wars, etc, and maybe even on a larger scale.
