I believe I am a highly sensitive person as well. I work in the social work field so it is honestly probably not the best field for us to work in just because other peoples' energies can be so overwhelming, especially when they are in distress. I find home to be my refuge and that's very important for balancing us.
Do you feel like you have a good home life? I once did not and back then school was my refuge for some time.
