Ok I'll say something. My take:
Om
represents or is an
imitation of the Inner Sound Current or the Primordial Vibration ...
the first sound that lingers still pervading all of existence.
It imitates the ''sound from the start of time'' -
since there were no vocal chords, air or lips at the time, you see.
Would that negate the peace found in repeating it as a mantra? No.
But better than the imitation...better to find the
actual Sound that is in everything*
and all around and never ends.
* Meaning inside you, too, with no vocalization, no moving parts!
