....Very true......I have 3 boys.... The eldest , first and foremost is an artist . Degree with honours in fine art , and been all over the world displaying his art in exhibitions..... But you cannot become an "artist" as your "job/career" because as you say... It doesn't pay the bills. My son still paints etc... But is a head teacher at a primary school........ That pays the bills!!!! ..... My second son , still in the arts, is/ was an actor / playwright . He was very successful in his acting career both on stage and on TV ... But again, in between work , the bills need paying !!!! ..... My 3rd son,. Was a footballer.... Very very good, but same... Football, within the "youth" teams , like a "cattle" market ... They "herd " them in, and herd them out just as quickly "culling" their confidence etc.... And I'm talking Top flight clubs here in the north of UK.
