Last year I lost my cat of 18 years. He was something special all right. I will never forget the day at the animal shelter when I met him, it was a busy Saturday afternoon. As I was making my way around looking at all the cats I noticed several people talk of this beautiful cat in a specific cage and then walk away from his cage saying he won't move or get out of his litter box let's go. I just had to see this cat. As I went to this cage, I can see this beautiful cat just sitting in his litter box. We made eye contact and the cat came out of his litter box and stuck his paw out at me. He apparently never did this with anyone according to the volunteers.

He passed last year and I still miss him dearly. Sometimes I see him the yard, and other times I feel his presence, there have been a few times I felt him jump on the bed and curl by my feet. Lately I feel like neither has happened. I wonder if this means he is ready to incarnate again? I am having a hard time getting a new pet because all I do is compare because he was so wonderful. It feel like he is going to come back as a dog. But I cant grasp when. Sometimes its next year, then I get 5 years from now, and other times 10 years from now.

Anyone else experience this with a pet? Have you been reunited?
