GREAT EXAMPLE!
One time I went to a rock show and looked at some 1 kilo bag of rocks. I held each bag to my ear and then shook my head meaning "NO". When I got done listening to each bag, I told the dealer all the bags I was interested in were all less then 1 kilo. He claimed "Impossible", took the bags and re-weighted them. The bags were all less then 1 kilo.
As far as holding the bags to my ear, that was all showmanship - I had already been told the answer.
