you are right but not quite. The pendulum can be moved by the subconscious mind as you said. But it can also be moved by your Higher Self. In fact it is your Higher Self that must be invoked for the pendulum dowsing and not the subconscious mind.
So before pendulum dowsing, pray for a few minutes to your Higher Self to guide you through the pendulum. The first question to the Higher Self should be: "May I ask some qiestions?" If the pendulum indicates that you can, then proceed, otherwise dont proceed.
