As for my NDE experience, it was indescribably mind-boggling since I wasn't even into meditation or eastern religions at that time ... just traditional Roman Catholic dogma. I could not relate to anything that happened during the NDE .. including the vision which was definitely eastern (though I did not know it at the time) and alien to my background. The NDE did serve, however, as a catalyst for this very unenlightened beginner to investigate further the nature of the Reality.
