Yes of course, Michael, you are right and I agree about the truth of the unchanging vs the ephemeral. Likewise you are correct in prompting the inquiry that when we suffer, who suffers but the temporary entity who is not.
Yet, it is equally clear that the two arises from the one but the one is not unchanging from the point of view of being inert and lifeless but is ever pulsating, with vitality. Such is as I have seen it and so understood it. Thus, the two (duality), is as real as the singularity, both dynamic. In the absolute sense, we can say the singularity is real because that is wherefrom duality arises but instead of using words like real and unreal, perhaps it may be more apt to view it as freedom of Absoluteness or as you say, noumena, to be as It chooses.
On a more practical basis, as it impacts us here and now in lived reality, moment to moment, the interim challenge seems to be to embody awareness of Self within body-mind, that each pore of form is fully magnetised. The catch of course always being is that the seeker who seeks is a receptor who can only purify the vessel to draw in the energy.
