Seth was a discarnate hence unable to indulge in anything physical. What you mean is that Seth worked through Roberts despite her using fags and booze, I think.... That shouldn't matter to a discarnate provided it doesn't impair the medium's receptivity to the communication and the accurate delivery of the message to the recipient, scribe or whatever.
