That would be very wrong indeed. It would be gross misuse of psychic powers to manipulate another and override their free will.
You see various thrashy books containing this sort of thing. Most of which is nothing more than gibberish tripe.
If you were foolish enough to try it and unlucky enough for it to have an effect, you'd be adversely 'tied' to that person, or rather that soul, at least until the next lifetime. The fact that you may have gone off them this time next week is tough luck!
And having misused the force you'd trigger the Law of Reaction.
In any case, if someone was right for you, you wouldn't need to resort to that sort of thing.
A general spell to ask for love to come into your life/to find your soulmate, mentioning no specific names, nothing wrong with that.
But to try to override another's freewill, no...
