I've thought kind of similarly, of writing guided meditations set in a particular landscape so that it's easier to meet a spirit guide who feels right in that landscape. I've watched so many nature documentaries that I have trouble reconciling meeting an animal that doesn't fit the landscape described in some of the guided meditations I've used. The brain keeps saying: "But I wouldn't find this animal here." It's a surprisingly potent distraction.
A silly problem to have, but also kind of funny.
If you create such a meditation and feel comfortable sharing, I'd be interested.
I can relate to the fleeting fear, too. There have been times when something new and strange-feeling pops up for me and I feel a little tension, like: "Wait, what's that?"
