The soul is a part of, or an expression of God, and our corporeal body is an intricate interface for the soul to be in this tiny low consciousness part of the vast grand reality to experience human life.
The veil of forgetfulness that is purposely built into the human mind was designed to make us think we are separate from God. Our adventure here as humans is to remove the veil and uncover our divinity through a long process, over many lifetimes, of free will exploration and maturation.
We are made in the image of God, the image of unconditional love, compassion, and joy. And the temple of God is within us, in every one of the hundreds of billions of cells in each of our bodies.
We are the aware, coming here to be in human form being temporary unaware on purpose, then become aware again having gained enough wisdom and maturity. Enjoy the fun but immensely challenging adventure.
We have always been "connected to all that is" because "all that is" is just the rest of our vast infinite self on the other side of the veil of forgetfulness.
