In my country we have a meat roll that is called ''slavink'', literally in Dutch ''vink'', which is finch in English (a bird). Even though it isn't the bird but it is pork meat, so the name is very misleading. Then there are ''flesh tomatoes'', which aren't really flesh either.
I don't think any of it matters. You just view and read the product and you know what it is. Unless it's a specific regional product with special preparation, then I understand the need for a patent.
