Interesting, I guess the fact it's a single-syllable word also makes it very easy to say (the c-word is very similar in terms of its length and composition, but that has such misogynistic overtones that I find it extremely unpleasant). I've come to wonder if it doesn't constitute a sort of Freudian slip, too, in the sense that repeated use of the word might indicate that it's on the person's mind a lot because they aren't getting any (although I may very well be projecting
).
