The soul, that is, the feel is such a thing that only a living musician can achieve. That's the fundamental difference between music and computer generated traks.
One might ask, why is that jazz and blues musicians don't use computer generated tracks? I think the answer is obvious. They don't have to - But they can.
I found a Jazz band from France that does incorporate modern electronic sound. They don't have drums, and instead, their organ player uses a rave-like DJ set-up. This used artfully. Their core genre is quite traditional and they remain true to the roots, but then they push it to the next level.
The band is called Caravan Palace and if I could swear I'd tell you just how awesome they are!
