What a lovely thread!
Yes, I revel in being close to nature, too. Like Anala I talk to the natural world, sounds silly but although I don't get a sound, or words back at me, I do get a wonderful sense of warmth and love from my surroundings.
When I was old enough to climb trees I'd sit in the branches and talk to the tree, and to the millions of little beasties who called that tree home. My friends thought I was a bit of a nutcase! However the opinions of others never stopped me doing what made me feel comfortable, and serene.
