Hi Hallow. It really really IS sickening to see the rubbish everywhere in certain places . I could cry when I see it knee deep sometimes in hedgerows .
What is wrong with people ?
Oh but you are right about the salt too. The sea is just at the end of my street ( 100 yards or so ) and it causes complete havoc with the car rusting all the nuts/ bolts etc and virtually welding things making it almost impossible for the mechanic to remove them.
They tend to use a sand here I think on the roads in winter , at least it's like a sand coloured grit, so I'm not sure if it contains salt . Having said that, they don't grit like they used to sometimes only doing a main road . Certainly no minor routes or side streets are gritted anymore .
