Down here on the coast we use a coconut hanging from a rope!
Coconut moving.........windy
Coconut still................calm
Coconut wet................raining
Coconut dry..................sunny
Coconut white..............snowing
Coconut invisable........fog
Coconut gone..............hurricane!
The coconut is surprisingly accurate!
