It is used to remind the student/follower of the course that nothing, what is not God-made, can have any lasting effect.
If God is love, and love only, then everything else, like hate or fear can not have any real effect.
It means that, from the God's perspective, only love can prevail.
But to understand the meaning of it, reading the book and doing the exercises is needed.
