It can work like that, and it's not just the lesser-lower ego, but the Higher Self or Soul seeking help for healing and to be made Whole.

Still, I will stick with: Feelings like the
bolded above are not coming from
MY Higher Self.
(What I mean is - Joy, freedom, love, profound wisdom, compassion and contentment, laughter come from
my Higher Self.)
