As you sit with beast and guilt
Remembering forgiveness isn’t built
It’s honoured as a place you give
When letting go can no longer bridge
A rift between two poles as you
But rather joined and merge as one as truth
A heart that cannot bear its pain
Must surely learn more loving gain
By loving hard and loving deep
Until the body begins to weep
At all those losses, at all the pain
For the broken heart
It must reclaim..
