I don't like reading for family or close friends either. It is different, suddenly there's far more emphasis on doing a good reading. Also, they might easily reject what you say because you're familiar to them, part of your inner circle and you of theirs. They usually don't have the same attitude they'd have to a strange reader.
Some do, and are really open to it. But I don't like doing it much either.
