I have been lacto ovo vegetarian for while, trying to go vegan.
Reason why I stopped eating meat is because I believe every living being has soul. This is why I dont want to consume flesh of another sentient being. Of course, ethics and smaller carbon footprint are other reasons for stopping eating meat.
