I had to have our family dog put down a few years ago and no doubt that there's a certain amount of bad karma coming my way for that action, however, if I'd let him suffer, I have no doubt that there'd be a whole lot more bad karma coming my way.
It's hard to always do right, sometimes you've just got to pick to do the least amount of harm.
