Hello Hazmatac.
My understanding of the energies of Earth, well energy altogether, is rudimentary at best. But I definitely believe that there are various energies at play.
Some as widely accepted as the wind and the force that travels through bodies of water in the form of waves and currents and then I believe that there are many energetic "spots", but I don't understand exactly what they are and what their significance is. I have researched lay lines, where they cross and areas of energetic abnormalities.
I had a very strong experience regarding energy. I was on vacation in Tokyo and visited a temple, Meiji Shrine, I climbed a couple of steps up and then back down in to a large open courtyard and I was overwhelmed by such a strong energetic feeling.
The best way I can describe the feeling is, it felt the same way my head/mind feels during meditation, but more "powerful" and immediate. But it wasn't a meditative state, it felt like there was a very strong energy there and my brain sort of pinged, recieved it.
I closed my eyes, regardless of the other people who were around, it was busy, I know that I may have appeared completely weird, but I just wanted to enjoy the feeling without the my visual sense.
Even stranger, I tried to explain the sensation to my boyfriend and he said he felt a similar thing, a noticeable feeling in his head when he stepped over threshold into the shrine. He isn't spiritual (well he is, everyone is, but he doesn't realise it), back then he didn't meditate (he now does regularly) and so he didn't have the vocabulary to explain his experience, but when I recounted mine as best I could, he said he felt the same thing, a very clear change in the energy there.
I've looked it up, to see if there are any other accounts the same as mine, regarding the shrine, I couldn't find any, but I'm convinced that it is a energetic "hot spot ".
