I have seen 2 people close to me just before they died.
For one I was probably the last thing she saw if she was sentient at all. Her tongue was out and there was just horror in her eyes, just completely animalistic instinctual wish to stay alive.
Second was bit longer he was slowly loosing it over night, i watched carefully in his eyes, it was like he was looking at something in the distance and would snap out of it when he saw i was observing, then went back into it again. He knew he was dying and was of course scared. By morning he was gone.
Matter just changes form and I have no proof that we are something more and that our living experience isn't redundant and there is a "soul". There is more because everything is infinite, however our mind cant process it, but does this insignificant moment in infinity we call living stay "remembered" somewhere, somehow in it all, i don't know. It really does not matter, we are all going to die so don't worry about it. lol
