I'm not familiar with TT but I am with Reiki. Reiki involves directing energy from the practitioner via Reiki symbols to the receiver. I don't think TT is meant to channel energy outside of the receiver from the practitioner. But in practice, it probably does channel energy from the practitioner to the receiver in certain practitioners.
