Hello all.
The suggestion in the OP prompted by genuine news that based on calculations, human made mass on our planet will begin to be greater than the weight of all living things by the end of this year.
Most of human made mass is in buildings and roads.
I also live in a house and use the roads etc. so not preaching, but wondering at consequences.
At the current rate human made mass will have tripled by 2040 it is calculated.

Added as edit.
The mass itself is not the issue because it all comes from the planet and -mostly-remains on the planet. The issue is that much is mined/quarried and ends up using surface area, and much is depleted resources from the surface. Natural habitats become decreased, etc etc.
