I've read (many times) that you shouldn't base your interpretation on anyone else's because each person "sees" in a different way. So to some, yellow might mean one thing and something else to another viewer.
I had a little pocket book about reading auras that said don't look at anyone's color charts first. But I don't think it will harm you. With time you'll begin to understand by asking those whose aura you look at to verify some information about the area(s) you see and the colors there.
Since you don't have trouble seeing, just experiment on all your friends! What harm can it do?
